The test itself
Spiritual Gifts Plus measures 26 gifts and adds a DISC personality section, which brings the sitting to 112 questions and gives a church a personality profile alongside the gifts. If your church teaches a long gift list and wants personality in the same report, that is the design you want.
EmmauOS asks about 60 statements about what has happened in the past year, across nine gifts, in 10 to 15 minutes on a phone with no account, app or email. The length is a choice backed by the literature: five well-written behavior statements per gift separate a lead band from the rest, people answer "what happened" more honestly than "what I am like", and people finish 10–15 minute tests. How results are shown
Spiritual Gifts Plus reports a person's "top spiritual gifts". EmmauOS shows bands: every gift within 3 points of the highest is in the lead band, the next gift within 2 points is "at the edge", and inside a band the gifts sit in Romans 12 order so no ranking can be recovered. A score from a handful of statements is honest to about 2 points either way, so EmmauOS doesn't print an order and a pastor talks about two or three gifts together.
What the team gets after
Spiritual Gifts Plus gives every tier a dashboard and team recommendations; the Advanced tier adds AI team matching and analytics, and Premium adds Planning Center and PDF export.
EmmauOS's follow-up list is on every plan, including the free one. Each result arrives with the person's own words and consent, next to the serving teams that need those gifts. A person can send their bands to two friends who say whether they ring true. A leader logs the conversation, places the person, and gets a 90-day check on whether it took; leaders see only their own ministries, and a weekly digest lists who is waiting on whom. Signals watch what people write and which gifts arrive; insights chart how the church's gifts are shifting, with small numbers hidden.
AI
Spiritual Gifts Plus's AI recommends teams. EmmauOS draws the line in a different place: AI never scores a person and never writes anything a member sees, and then it is used everywhere else. Connect Claude or any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol, scoped to a role and expiring, and ask it who is waiting, to log a conversation, to place someone or to walk through setup. Hand EmmauOS your website and it offers your colors, logo, city, ministries and serving teams. Photograph a bookshelf and it fills your resources. Add your own key for a staff-only brief that summarizes a person's own words. None of that appears on Spiritual Gifts Plus's pages as of October 2026, and none of it needs a top tier.
