A QR code for the bulletin, a tour of the whole workspace, and who leads each ministry
In this release
- Branded QR code in Share
- The tour walks the whole workspace
- Who leads each ministry
Three smaller things, each in answer to something a church asked for this week.
A QR code in Share
Share on the Overview now draws a QR code for your assessment link, in your church's colour with your logo in the middle. Download it as PNG for the bulletin or as SVG for a slide or a poster; a phone camera opens your page. The code points at the same link as before, so nothing you have already printed stops working.
Why: the bulletin is still where most churches put the link, and every church was making its own code in some other tool.
The tour walks the whole workspace
The tour on your first login used to end at "open one result". It now carries on through the result itself (the gifts in bands, what to say first, keeping track of the conversation) and then through People, Ministries, Where we need people, Signals, Resources, Settings, your team and the public link, as far as your role can see. Take it again any time from the sidebar.
Why: people told us the first screen made sense and the rest they found by clicking around. Now the first fifteen minutes show the whole shape.
Who leads each ministry
Each ministry card shows who leads it, as a coloured initials disc and a name. When GiftWell reads your website it picks the names up from the page's own words ("led by", "Director:"); when Planning Center is connected it reads the leaders of the matching serving team or group. Names only: no email, phone or photo is read or kept, because a ministry's leaders are shown to everyone who sees results. You can change the names on the ministry at any time.
Why: the first question after "they could serve in Kids" is "who do I introduce them to?". The card now answers it.
Also
The send-feedback window and the pastor's-note box on a resource have more room, and the "more people it would welcome" field on a ministry says it wants a number.
