GiftWell keeps up with what your church already did
In this release
- Planning Center refreshed nightly
- Follow-up goes to who looks after the ministry
- Quiet placements and rising signals in the digest
- Shared tags between a ministry and its team
Much of what a pastor did in GiftWell was copying down what had already happened somewhere else. This release takes those chores off the list, and leaves every pastoral decision where it was.
What GiftWell now does for you
- Planning Center stays current. Linked people are refreshed overnight, read-only. A person whose email matches exactly one Planning Center profile is linked; a name alone never is. Ministries are matched to teams by name only when the match is one-to-one, and Unlink is remembered.
- The timeline fills itself. A placement, a first month serving, or a placement gone quiet is written to the person's timeline, and a serving placement moves their stage forward to Serve, never back.
- Follow-up goes to the right person. Placing someone on a ministry exactly one of your team looks after makes them the one who follows up, if nobody does yet. The digest lists your own people first.
- A result opened twice is reviewed. Opening it again ten minutes later, or printing its guide, marks it reviewed. Nothing is written to the person's log.
- The digest says what changed. A placement of yours that went quiet is named once. A signal that started rising since last week gets one line. And a count shows people who have served a year since they took it, for whom a retake would show what has grown.
- One tagging covers both sides. Tags on a ministry fill its linked Planning Center team where that team has none, and the other way round.
- Introductions life already made leave the list, once the two people share a team or a group.
What it still leaves to you
GiftWell does not choose who follows up with a new result, log a conversation, end a placement, write anything new to Planning Center, or email the person. Those stay yours.
